Overview

New York, NY - ADI, in partnership with Northeast Consortium, organized the 11th Annual Asian Diversity Career Exposition in NYC on March 9, 2012. This event is the largest of its kind in the country, attracting multinational corporations, domestic companies and government agencies, exhibiting to acquire Pan-Asian talent. Attendees, during this day-long event had a unique opportunity to connect and engage with recruiters across industries and explore career opportunities which suit their interest and skill-set. The Exposition also featured Resume Critiquing sessions throughout the day where the job seekers met one-on-one with resume coaches to receive critical resume tips. Employer Showcases provided attendees insights into presenting companies' background, hiring needs and information on applying for job vacancies.

Expo Highlights

The U.S. Department of State, New York Hospital Queens and Public Service Enterprise Group (PSEG) took advantage of the Employer Showcase sessions to engage with the exposition attendees. Company representatives in dedicated sessions, answered questions regarding career opportunities at respective organization. A workshop titled Business Networking was conducted to provide attendees with tips and advice on how to effectively network in person and through social media for the purpose of professional development and advancing one's career.
